Families Evaluated in the Housing and Health Improvement Competition

As part of the Greening Africa Project (GA3), Prosper for Greening Community Base has continued to engage with the local community in Kwamafunchi Village through meaningful and practical initiatives. One of the most recent activities was the collection of materials by the juries to evaluate families who participated in the Housing and Health Improvement Competition.

The competition is designed to encourage families to improve their living environments and adopt healthier practices at home. Through this initiative, the project motivates households to embrace sustainable housing solutions, proper sanitation, and eco-friendly practices that contribute to both human well-being and environmental conservation.

During this stage, the juries carefully gathered and reviewed the necessary materials to ensure a fair and transparent evaluation of all participants. Their role is to assess the efforts made by families in upgrading their housing structures, maintaining cleanliness, and applying health and greening practices introduced under the GA3 project.

The Housing and Health Improvement Competition is more than just an event—it reflects the project’s broader vision of empowering communities with knowledge, creativity, and responsibility to transform their own lives. By recognizing and rewarding families that demonstrate leadership in improving their homes and health, Prosper for Greening Community Base fosters a spirit of learning and healthy competition within the village.

Launched on October 16, 2023, the Greening Africa Three (GA3) Project in Kwamafunchi Village is managed by Prosper for Greening Community Base in Tanzania, in collaboration with Pachamama Raymi from Peru. Together, these organizations are working hand-in-hand with the local community to promote sustainable development, resilience, and a greener future.

The juries’ ongoing evaluation process is a key step in ensuring the success of this initiative, and soon, the best-performing families will be recognized for their outstanding efforts.
